pleasant lyrics

"If you take [a copy of] the Christian Bible and put it out in the wind and the rain, soon the paper on which the words are printed will disintegrate and the words will be gone. Our bible IS the wind and the rain." Herbalist Carol McGrath as told to her by a Native-American woman.

i wrote this down a few weeks ago in relation to a little solo i'm building called from  form

strive to resist somatic memory, or experience of movements passed

i read it this morning, disagreed and wrote something else.

with the idea of departing from form, or memory, it is impossible not to imagine entering new form; in the process of leaving, you arrive. the act of attempting to depart from something is as contrived as trying to arrive at something, because in essence it is the same thing. any ‘effort’ to arrive or depart feels immersed in pretense and manufactured. i'm happy to know that now. i will try not to be judgemental of my history and how it may contextualise my thoughts, ideas and physical self, and also remain aware, but not dictate, what or where it is i may enter. [something about path finding in here] i think the best activity is to form tools from the thoughts you encounter in the space between departure and arrival
